3D Prints Architectural Parts

3D Printing is a great way to express your ideas and designs. Slice3D printing is amongst one of the few 3D printing bureau organisations in the UK that can offer two types of resolution, Medium resolution and Ultra fine resolution. Whichever resolution you choose, you will receive a superior 3D print. Below is an example of an architectural 3D print in Vero white material, this design concept, demonstrates pre constructed pods that interlink to form a dwelling. Different pods can be arranged to suit the customer’s needs and style, all of the pods can be purchased off the shelf rather like building a kitchen. The parts are transported to the site and placed on a pre-laid concrete slab and assembled to the customers specification.

3D printing played a large role in persuading would be investors in the project by supplying perfect 3D prints of the pod shapes for presentation. As you can imagine this went down very well and provided a powerful asset to the selling of the product.

Design for 3D print

As you know 3D printing is a layer by layer form of model construction and it can be quite expensive, by rule of thumb the higher the print the greater the time it takes to print it and the more costly it becomes.

Architectural 3D Printing Service

A way of keeping costs down is to design your model from scratch with 3D printing in mind, what we mean by this is instead of printing the whole building in one go, print the sides of the model building as individual parts that contain doors windows and brick pattern features and so on, rather like a flat pack. When your parts arrive, quickly and simply assemble the parts and glue them together to form the building rather like the conventional method, but with supreme finish and  accuracy. 3D printing a model building in this way can be more cost effective, at a guess you would be looking at a 70% saving as opposed to printing the whole building in one go.

We are not suggesting that you cannot print a whole building in one go, but it is worth considering the alternative. 3D printing for architecture is useful in many ways as very often scaled models are required to enhance and balance a building in situation, models of people say or models of cars and trees.
